What is meant by a “fast outfield”?

Although the plane is the fastest means of transport, the idea of travelling by plane does not appeal to everyone because of the frequent delays. It is extremely frustrating when you allow yourself ......... time to get to the airport and once there it is brought to your attention that there is a problem with your flight.

The staff at the check-in are trying to convince you that it won't be long. Befor the problem is solved. However, hours later you feal disappointed, as you continue to wait patiently for your boarding call. Of course, you won't gain anything ..........

How Does Factoring Work?

Factoring is a transaction in which a business sells its invoices, or receivables, to a third-party financial company known as a “factor.” The factor then collects payment on those invoices from the business’s customers. Factoring is known in some industries as “accounts receivable financing.”

The main reason that companies choose to factor is that they want to receive cash quickly on their receivables, rather than waiting the 30 to 60 days it often takes a customer to pay. Factoring allows companies to quickly build up their cash flow, which makes it easier for them to pay employees, handle customer orders and add more business.

What is a Cash Advance?

When you factor an invoice, the factoring provider advances to you a percentage of that invoice value, usually within 24 hours. The factor will then pay you the balance of the invoice, minus fees, after it collects payment from your customer. The cash advance rate can vary...

If silence can heal,

Если молчание может исцелять,

I know it can kill.

То мне знакомо, как оно убивает.

I feel its caress.

Я чувствую его нежность.

Consider your lies

Обдумай свою ложь

In light of what's real.

В свете того, что подлинно.

I could care less.

Я могла бы так не тревожиться.

Forget all you know,

Забудь всё, о чём знаешь,

Just get up and go.

Просто вставай и уходи.

Save all you can.

Спасай всё, что можешь.

Don't want you to see

Не хочу, чтобы ты видел,

When pain overflows

Как меня переполняет боль,

You're not my friend.

Ты мне не друг.

I still think that we were meant to be

Я всё ещё думаю, что наша встреча была предначертана.

Lie to me now.

Солги мне теперь.

I still dream that you were meant for me

Я всё ещё грежу о том, что ты был создан для меня.

Why would you...

Studying economics for the first time, it is necessary to know what economics is all about. Unfortunately, it is not possible to define the subject by a single word. Economics was defined as the study of mankind in the everyday business life. This means that economics deals with production, distribution, exchange and consumption. It answers such questions as: How do we produce all the things we need? How are prices determined? Economics is also concerned with unemployment, inflation, international trade, the interaction of business and labour, and the effects of government spending and taxes.
Economics does not stop with the description of economic activity because description alone leaves unanswered many important why and how questions.
Economics is a social science like history, geography, politics, psychology and sociology. It is the study of human efforts to satisfy what seems like unlimited and competing wants through the careful use of relatively scarce...

What do you mean by deadlock?

When two or more processes wait for a resource to be freed which is controlled by another process, a deadlock situation occurs. It usually occurs in a multiprocessing environment. Example, one client application needs access to a table to acquire a lock which is held by another client application that in turn may attempt to obtain the lock that is held by the first application.

What do you mean by deadlock?

Dead lock is a situation of two or more processes waiting for each other to finish their tasks. In this situation no progress or no advancement is made. It is a standstill resulting from two evenly matched processes, which are waiting in cyclic...

Runes are letters in a family of ancient alphabets known as runic alphabets. Runes were used as a method of communication across Scandinavia and in other Germanic nations from around the 3rd century CE to around the 13th century, when they were displaced by the Roman alphabet. Thousands of examples of runic inscriptions can be found in stones, coins, and artwork, and many Scandinavian countries also boast extensive collections of runic manuscripts. Runes are also used by some people as a tool for divination, since these individuals believe that runes have mysterious powers.

The primary runic alphabet is often known as Futhark, in a reference to its first five letters. The runic alphabet was probably derived from the Etruscan alphabet which was once in wide use in Italy, and it characterized by angular characters, with no curves or soft edges like those found in the Roman alphabet. This is common to alphabets developed during this period, since they can be readily chiseled...

The outfield is a sporting term used in cricket and baseball to refer to the area of the field of play further from the batsman or batter than the infield, and in association football to players outside the goal.

They always say in commentary that the outfield is very fast? what it is exactly mean?

The Quick/Fast Outfield refers to the outfield which has a less friction offered when ball travels on the ground.

In simple words the Outfield where the ball travels much faster than the regular outfields can be called quick/fast outfield. This may be because of the grass height/a dry outfield as suggested by Spinner in his answer or it may be even because of the slope of the ground which affects in acceleration of the ball.

As quoted by many commentators/batsmen/captains the quick outfield helps the batting side to score more amount of...

The outfield is a sporting term used in cricket and baseball to refer to the area of the field of play further from the batsman or batter than the infield, and in association football to players outside the goal.

In cricket and baseball[edit]

In both baseball and cricket, fielders in the outfield have more ground to cover, but also more time before the ball reaches them. Catches are most likely to arise from shots that have been 'skied' (in cricket) or 'popped ' (in baseball). If a catch is not possible (for example, the ball has bounced, or is rolling or skidding across the turf) the fielder will attempt to head off, pick up and throw in the ball as quickly as possible to reduce the distance the runners can run and hopefully to effect a run out (cricket) or tag out (baseball).

In cricket, where the ball is far more likely to stay low against the ground than in baseball, the condition of the turf has a major effect on the speed at which the ball travels...

An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. An outfielder's duty is to try to catch long fly balls before they hit the ground or to quickly catch or retrieve and return to the infield any other balls entering the outfield. Outfielders normally play behind the six other members of the defense who play in or near the infield.

By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms.

Outfielders named to the MLB All-Century Team are Hank Aaron, Ty Cobb, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, Pete Rose, Babe Ruth, Ted Williams and Ken Griffey Jr..

Generally the speed of the outfield mostly depends on the thickness of the grass cover in the outfield.

You can notice that immediately after a shower or a rain, the outfield is damp (outfield is usually not covered!), and this results in a slow outfield.
In Australian grounds, the outfield is lush and extremely grassy, making it difficult for the ball to roll, thereby causing a relatively slower outfield when compared to the Sub continent counterparts. The Australian and to some extent the English grounds also happen to be big, thereby giving the appearance that the outfield is slower than what it is!

The South African grounds are somewhat in between. The outfield is generally lush, and has a thick layer of grass, but smaller grounds implies that the distance travelled by the ball is lesser, and hence boundary scoring appears to be easier!

In sub continent countries, the extremely dry nature makes it difficult to maintain the grass, needing a lot of water so...
