What is the minimum age to play under 19, under 16 and under 14 cricket?

1
One rule that comes to my mind is the 'Declaration Rule' for Limited Overs Internationals.

While the Laws of Cricket state that you can declare an innings in a match of any length(ie Test or ODI or T20), ICC prohibits it. All international matches are played in accordance respective 'ICC Playing Conditions' rulebook. You can check out the Playing Conditions Books here

A brief list :
ICC Test Matches

Law 5.6 of the Laws of Cricket which makes specification about the ball does not apply to ICC Test matches. Playing on non-turf pitches (according to Law 7.5) is not allowed. Law 12.1(b) (as below, ) is not permitted in Test matches.

It may be agreed to limit any innings to a number of overs or to a period of time.

Single inning test matches (according to Law 21.2) are not allowed.

ICC ODIs

All the rules related to test matches(ie, Follow-ons, adding time between innings, adding time at the end of the day, changing the ball after one day's play,...

Sixteen members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) fielded teams at the 1998 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Some information about squad members (including playing styles, dates of births, and even full names) is unavailable, especially for ICC associate members.

Group A[edit]

Denmark[edit]

Ten members of the Danish squad went on to play for the Danish senior team.[1] One of those, Amjad Khan, also played at senior level for England.[2] One Danish player, Freddie Klokker, was 14 years and 304 days at the start of the tournament, making him the youngest player whose age is definitely known.[3] Denmark were competing in the Under-19 World Cup for the first time.[4]

Ireland[edit]

Four members of the Irish squad went on to play for the Irish senior team.[5] One of those, Ed Joyce, also played at senior level for England.[6] Ireland were competing in the Under-19 World Cup for the first time.[7]

Oooh I love playing paintball. So fun and exciting. Dont know about America, but in Australia, anyone under the age of 18 needs a parental consent form. And anyone under 16 needs a guardian who needs to be at least 18 years of age. Laser shooting is different from Paintball , Paintball is more rough ( and more exciting ). It would be painful for some because of the speed of the balls hitting at high speed, so wearing long sleeves and thick clothes is recommended. The gaming centre would provide head gear to protect the eyes and face, and also other protective gears upon requests. But still, adequate covering would be recommended to avoid bruises. Besides that , its a fun game to enjoy, creating team spirit and such. The boys would love it. It depends on how much rounds one shoot , first buy here includes gun and 30 rounds , and subsequent rounds need to be purchased later of the game continues / or when rounds run...

The BCCI has decided that players who have represented India in one Under-19 World Cup cannot take part in another edition of the tournament, even if they meet the age criteria to do so. The board approved this suggestion of its junior committee in the BCCI working committee meeting on Friday.

The working committee has also decided that players who enter the system at the Under-19 stage can play a maximum of two seasons of Under-19 cricket.

Though the BCCI did not specify the reasons behind the move, it can be seen as an attempt to crack down on overage players, which has been a thorny issue over a number of years in Indian cricket. The former India captain Rahul Dravid, who is now head coach of the India A and India Under-19 teams, had made age-fudging a central topic of his MAK Pataudi Memorial Lecture in December 2015.

"I think of this overage business as dangerous and even toxic and to me, gives rise to a question: If a child sees his parents and...

Can a player aged 19 play under 19 international cricket match? (Since 19 is not under 19)

The age of the player is not determined during the world cup. It is determined on 1st of September before the world cup. E.g. For ICC U19 World Cup 2014 the age of the players was determined based on 1st September 2013. That means any player must be under 19 on 1st Sept. 2013 to be qualified. You can see some players like Vijay Zol, Sanju Samson were over 19 during U19 WC 2014. But they were under 19 on 1st Sept. 2013.

Also to note, maximum age of 19 is applicable for players of Full Member countries only. For players from Associate and Affiliate Member countries the maximum age is 20 (probably due to limited number of cricketers).

Hi Divakar,

I think I can seriously help you on this part as I've played State Cricket myself.

The right age for starting cricket training is 10.

Shocked?????!!!!!

Its true. The competition in this game is very tough and what makes you apart from others is your age.

Let me explain:

If you want to get in Indian Team, or even Ranji trophy ,
you need to make a mark on the selectors as early as possible.
If you start at 10, you will finally end up in Under 15 team at 12-13 or 14 if you work very hard or you are a gifted sportsman.
From there you can take yourself to under 17, under 19 and so on.

The reason why i mentioned 10 is because age is what betrays us in this game. I entered this game at 15 playing under 17 and further under 17 and 19. I did make to state but at the time it was too late. People with whom i played were 22-23-24. And guess what, their age was 17,18,19. They had been trying to get into team since very long....

The hourly rate for the minimum wage depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice.

You must be at least:

school leaving age to get the National Minimum Wage aged 25 to get the National Living Wage - the minimum wage will still apply for workers aged 24 and under

Current rates

These rates are for the National Living Wage and the National Minimum Wage. The rates change every April.

Apprentices

Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they’re either:

aged under 19 aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship

Example An apprentice aged 22 in the first year of their apprenticeship is entitled to a minimum hourly rate of...

Tom Brady is the gifted quarterback of the New England Patriots, widely regarded (even by Jets’ fans) as one of the best ever at his position. But when he was a kid in the late 1980s and early ’90s, his father Tom Sr. and his mother Galynn did not allow him to play organized tackle football. For that, Tom had to wait until his freshman year at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, Calif. “The first time I ever saw Tommy seriously throw a football, he was 14 years of age,” his dad told me.

(MORE: Kids’ Concussion Symptoms May Persist for a Year)

Tom Sr. believed that football was too dangerous. “As a parent, I didn’t want my 7- or 8-year-old kid walking off the field with a broken arm or leg,” the elder Brady said. (Concussions were just an afterthought at the time.)

Today’s parents of peewee players would do well to embrace Tom Brady Sr.’s attitude. Last month, in one single Pop Warner football game, five preadolescent players on a team from Tantasqua,...

The ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup is an international cricket tournament contested by national under-19 teams. First contested in 1988, as the Youth World Cup, it was not staged again until 1998. Since then, the World Cup has been held as a biennial event, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The first edition of the tournament had only eight participants, but every subsequent edition has included sixteen teams. Australia and India have both won the World Cup three times, while Pakistan have won twice and England, South Africa, and the West Indies once each. Two other teams – New Zealand and Sri Lanka – have made a tournament final without going on to win. In June 2016, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) decided that Indian players could only play in one under-19 tournament, regardless if they still meet the age criteria for another edition.[1]
